I am a father, minister, friend, techie, speaker, and writer (sometimes, at least). I am a social activist and a community servant supporting interests in people and organizations that promote leadership development, advocacy for youth, education, and social and economic equality. I love being a part of my community and I spend a great deal of time doing my best to help people succeed.

Called to the ministry at a young age, like most, I avoided it. I disregarded both the people and the prayers that I would be a “preacher.” My dad was a preacher and as much as I loved him, it wasn’t something I wanted to do. So, I spent 30 years of my life doing what I thought was right, living life the way I wanted to, having some desire to do better but never really knowing where I was headed.

At a young age, I worked as a DJ. I played for house parties, clubs, concerts, proms, homecomings – you name it, I’ve played it. In that time, I saw some things a teenager should never be exposed to. Eventually, I started living out some of the things that I saw. Though it was to walk away from being a DJ, getting VIP access to the best clubs and never having to stand in line or wait for service, was a little hard to give up and I didn’t realize the effect  and level of influences that lifestyle had on me. Before I knew it, I was someone that I never thought I’d be. By the time I realized it, I had a son on the way and life was closing in on me. That’s when I began to think about the legacy that I’d leave behind for my son.

By God’s grace, I was able to get my life on track and overcome some bad habits. While I’m still a work in progress, I am reaching toward the mark (Philippians 3:14), and I’m sharing my experience with those who will listen so that others can know that they too have a purposeful life to live and a legacy to build.

I am the result of people not giving up on me. And, I’m dedicated to seeing the best in people because someone saw the best in me.

This website is essentially my blog. I write about many subjects including how to live life with purpose and intention while possessing every moment as if Christ was to come back right now. My theme in life is “All in. Period.” and is derived from Deuteronomy 6:5, Matthew 22:37, Mark 12:30 & Luke 10:27. Subjects that I share here are within the realm of intentional and purposeful living, personal and professional growth, leadership, community action and some level of politics. Additionally, I like to include resources that I’ve discovered or am discovering as we grow together.

In my short years of living, I’ve had the opportunity to experience people on many different levels. I’ve come to realize that “truly” successful people, and by truly successful I mean Godly successful people – though they share many commonalities – there is one thing that separates them from everyone else. They live life victoriously. They live life from a position or point of victory.  It’s my prayer that we will all do the same.
